I’ve had the amazing opportunity to be a photographer to families and couples across Georgia for the last ten years. I’ve learned how to run my business, practically crawling through every “business” lesson, and what I quickly learned was that I valued when my workflow actually made work easier instead of being stressful.
The first thing I did for my business was find a way to make sure I could send contracts, get paid and a way to send images that didn’t look horrible. I realized that I had to have multiple platforms just to do all of those things, each one required a subscription fee, and none of them talked to each other, so my workflow became really scattered and stayed that way because I thought this was what all photographers did. I didn’t realize at the time that this was hurting my creativity and caused friction to my workflow. I did this exact workflow for 9 years.

I was looking for a solution, more like complaining, and couldn’t find anything that currently did everything that I needed. I found snapsails, decided to try it for free, and now I won’t be going back to the old CRM.
What bothered me most was the backend chaos that my clients were experiencing. They had to jump from platform to platform just to work with me. Clients had to use one platform for invoicing, another for receiving their photos, it felt clunky, unorganized and unintentional. I work hard to develop a relationship with my clients and it was starting to feel it was being disturbed by a workflow that required a lot on their end.

I was looking for a new CRM that would allow for me to do all the things I needed to do for my clients and with my team. After almost giving up, I realized the problem wasn’t that I hadn’t found the right platform. It was that none of them were built for how photographers actually work. That realization is what led me to snapsails.
snapsails is a CRM where invoices, contracts, client galleries and videos can all live in one place. I’m able to communicate with my clients and keep media together, creating a better, more refined and intentional flow. While I’m building my business and my team, snapsails allows for me to easily work and communicate with my associate photographers.

I was tired of having a hard time receiving the RAW files from the associate photographers on my team. I either had to hold hostage an SD card and trust that card to safely keep my images or I had to use another platform with another subscription to send and receive the files. In order to pay my associates, I had to use yet another platform, making the entire workflow feel just as clunky and nightmarish.
While using snapsails, I was able to work with my associates just as easily as I could my clients. I could send their payments and receive their RAW files at the same time. I could even send a contract to my with no issue, all inside snapsails.
Over ten years, the monthly subscriptions costs was climbing while I was using fewer features on my “feature packed” platforms. snapsails feels intentional and made for the workflow of photographers. It has everything I truly need in one platform, for one price. snapsails supports my business and my business moves, instead of draining it and feeling tense. It saved me time and reduce my mental load.
I didn’t switch because I wanted something new. I switched CRMs because I knew that I needed something new that would actually help my business. I wanted to improve my client experiences and I wanted the job that I love to feel less like I was a task rabbit going through the motions. snapsails isn’t about doing everything, its about doing what is truly important and do it well.

snapsails is meant for the photographers who want a break on the subscription costs and a workflow that make sense. They are so confident in their system, they give it away for free.
You can sign up for free, work projects, send invoices and media to your clients for free. They like to say “try us for free. stay for free” and they really mean it. Since I’ve started using snapsails, I have yet to move from their Free Plan. I get 25GB of room to explore and use the platform, send client invoices, contracts, images and videos, inside snapsails for free. I have never had a CRM where I could use it for free before I committed to paying more of my hard earned money to another platform.
So far, my client experiences have been smoother and quicker. After I receive their inquiry, it’s a one click workflow to send their contract and invoice. Along the way, snapsails gives me small reminders of what needs to be done for a client or what I’m waiting on. My favorite part is when I send images and videos to my clients, I am able to send them right next to each other. They get to experience their images and then move right into their video, keeping all the emotions flowing and uninterrupted – creating that intentional, emotional connection that I worked hard to foster.

snapsails isn’t meant to do everything, but it does everything I need to run my photography business. If you’re a photographer who values a client expeirence and workflow that fits your photography business, switch to snapsails. as they say, try it for free, stay for free. If you love it, just like I do, you never have to pay for a CRM again.
