How to convince your spouse to invest in photos 

Do you want family photos taken but your spouse or partner isn’t on board? Maybe they don’t like being photographed, think it’ll be stressful or don’t see the value. You are not the only one who struggles with this – this is really common struggle I hear as an Atlanta family photographer. 

The reasons they don’t want to invest in a photoshoot can vary: 

“I don’t take good photos” “we can’t afford it” “it won’t be fun” are ones I hear pretty often. But here’s the truth: family portraits are an investment in your memories, your home, and your story. If you’re ready to encourage your spouse or partner to invest, here are some of the best ways to help them see why booking a session is truly worth it. 

1. Share why it matters:
   Start at the top by explaining why you want to invest in a photo session and why portraits mean so much to you. Be open about wanting to document your families lives together, your stories as they are now so come time down the road when you look over them again, you have memories to hold on to and cherish forever.
